Stoke-on-Trent

The City of Stoke-on-Trent fondly known as The Potteries is made up of six towns. Hanley, Stoke, Burslem, Tunstall, Longton and Fenton. Hanley is the main City Centre, with a wide variety of cultural attractions including The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery; Regent Theatre & Victoria Hall; AirSpace Gallery and Mitchell Arts Centre based in the Cultural Quarter.

Stoke-on-Trent Town Centre is home to Staffordshire University. Previously split between two campuses, the majority of students and teaching now takes place on the Stoke Campus offering a range of courses from Law and Engineering to Art. The School of Art & Design supports 1400 students in courses including an MA Ceramic Design.

Visitors can also explore the 800-acre Trentham Estate with Italian Gardens, Shopping Village, Monkey Forest and mile long lake. Further afield, the Peak District, South Cheshire and Shropshire are all within an hour, providing you with the chance to explore the area and all it has to offer.
